Star Wars Battlefront was released by EA DICE aka Electronic Arts on Nov. 17th, 2015. Only for Playstation 4, but also for XBOX ONE and PC.
FUN: The game mostly is drawn for it Multiplayer aspect due to it limited Single Player Mode. However, they do give plenty of different Multiplayer Game Types to choose from. From air battles to land battles and defending from the enemies to stealing droids, both sides have a lot of choices as well as a few twist to roles if you play either the dark side or the rebels. FUN - 1.5.
REPLAY: Well... when it comes to Multiplayer games like this... it's pretty much Neverending. However, even with playing Multiplayer everyday. You will be mostly playing by yourself with many random players. Well... unless you are playing with your friends. But... still... it can get stale time to time if you play too much too quickly. REPLAY - 1.5.
STORY: This game doesn't have a story. It's Star Wars. The game pretty much takes bits and pieces off of the movies. STORY - 0.5.
DIFFERENCE/ORIGINAL: Well... This game does have it's differences, but it sure isn't Original. The Battlefront games have been here since the Nintendo Gamecube and Playstation 2. However, after they slowly died off... we haven't heard from the Battlefront series in quite some time. So EA decided to bring a old classic back. What happen when they did? They redesigned it with the capabilities that we can do with our present day technology. Which meant ton of Multiplayer choices with Wi-Fi Online Battles. DIFFERENCE/ORIGINAL - 1.
DIFFICULTY: Well... since this is a Multiplayer based game. I will be only covering that part do to Single Player & Co-Op only involve you and your friends skills. In Multiplay you will be mostly playing with random players, unless you are playing with friends. With friends, you are playing with both Random players and players you know. However... There is no microphone feature so good luck being organized. It's hard to do things together and it's mostly based on that lone players skills and items. The only way to send messages is via signals as in "Victory", "Smell", & "Not The Droids Your Looking For" which doesn't help at all. So in a Multiplayer game that involves you to be Organized... you got nothing to help you with keeping it that way and it up to each of your teammates lone skill and items to help. DIFFICULTY - 1.
TOTAL - 5.5.
So there you have it. Star Wars Battlefront. This has been Nostalgic Gamer 89. Until next post, Keep on Gaming.
Hello again! This is the Nostalgic Gamer 89 telling you that I'm now going to rate video games that are not Nintendo games. PC, XBOX, Playstation, and much more, you name it, I will rate it. Old and New games too.

Persona 4 Dancing All Night for the Playstation Vita
Persona 4 Dancing All Night is a Rhythm Game made by ATLUS and was released on Sept. 29th, 2015 for the Playstation Vita. This is a side story to the Persona 4 Series, just like Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. Due to it being a Rhythm game, it has a similar feels to the Miku Vocaloid games.
FUN: This game is quite enjoyable. It has 2 Modes; Story and Free. In Story Mode you play... well... the Story, just like how there was a Story Mode for both P4 Arena & P4 Arena Ultimax. You go through the story with a few Music Rhythm Songs/Gameplay in between. With Free Mode, it's just like the Miku Vocaloid games, but with a bit of P4 Arena Series into the Mix. For example, you earn cash by doing songs and with this cash you can by items in the games shop. For the Miku part, you play and clear the songs, you unlock a new song and maybe a few other things. FUN - 2.
REPLAY: Story Mode may not hold any Replay Value, but Free Mode does. However... after a while after unlocking all the songs, it can get stale time to time. But the music is enjoyable so it works out. REPLAY - 1.
STORY: I won't go into the story too deep, since this is a Persona game, Story is important. In the Side Story of P4, Rise asked the whole gang to help her with a live concert for her comeback tour, not as music players, but as her backup dancers. During their practice, they heard another idol group members disappeared at the same time a new version of the Midnight Channel Rumor involving the Internet pops up. They later found out that it's true, but with a different feel to their TV Midnight Channel. It's up to the gang again to solve the case and help Rise and her Idol friends. STORY - 2.
DIFFERENCE/ORIGINAL: This doesn't feel like a different game, but instead a mix between Miku Vocaloid Rhythm games and P4 Arena Series. Side Story, Rhythm based gameplay, completing stages earns you money. Only thing Different and Original is the Story. DIFFERENCE/ORIGINAL - 0.5.
DIFFICULTY: Great Balance is used for the Music Gameplay Stages, both for Story and Free Mode. You can also pick you Difficulty level in both, but only Free Mode has an Easy Difficulty Level. DIFFICULTY - 2.
TOTAL - 7.5.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls For the Playstation Vita
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is the 3rd game in the Danganronpa series made by Spike Chunsoft and NIS America. Released on Sept. 1st, 2015 for the Playstation Vita.
FUN: From Witty Banter to the actual Gameplay, this game has quite a lot to offer. This Danganronpa game is a bit different from it's 1st two games, but at the same time, still having the charm of the series hold firm. So if you liked the lengthy text, comedy, and voice acting, but wanted something more like a 3rd person shooter/fighter game, this game has both. FUN - 2.
REPLAY: This game doesn't have much to offer in replay value. Just the old New Game + of playing the same story again but with all your levels and skills you had when you beaten the game. As soon as you beat the game once, the Extra Section gets unlocked on the Main Menu. REPLAY - 0.5.
STORY: Since Danganronpa series is heavily story based, I won't go into much. I will only explain a few key points. 1st of all, If you played the 1st Danganronpa game, Happy Trigger Havoc, then you will instantly know who you are playing as, as well as you partner you also get to play as. Secondly, this game's story takes place between the 1st and 2nd games in the series. That's right, between Happy Trigger Havoc and Goodbye Despair. STORY - 2.
DIFFERENCE/ORIGINAL: Now their isn't much difference nor original in this game since it does follow a lot of the Danganronpa gameplay. The only difference is that it's a 3rd person shooter/fighter game as well as using 3d models instead of flat 2d models like the other two games. DIFFERENCE?ORIGINAL - 1.
DIFFICULTY: The difficulty is actually quite balanced. If you die, you don't have to start all the way to the last save point you were at, but just the last area you loaded before dying. The only time I really die was being blow off the edge into the black hole of death. Other then that, it was a nice balanced game. DIFFICULTY - 2.

Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero - Early Access Demo Version
Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero is a current in-progress game from Wayforward. Right now, they just released a Early Access Demo (Which I played). This Early Access Demo (aka EAD), only has 3 Levels which I will use to review fairly. This game will be out for PC, Vita, Playstation, Nintendo, and a few others. The EAD is only for PC so far. Release Date Unknown at this time. I'm getting the full game on the Vita.
FUN: So far after playing the 3 Levels, I instantly fell in love with it. The controls are fluent and easy to use. I felt like when I messed up, it was my fault, not the games. The music, colors, and transformations are a blast. I'm looking forward to play more. WayForward left us a quote, "As the player it's your job to find the source of this new evil power and banish it once and for all. The story is doled out in CHAPTERS, with each chapter introducing new subplots, friends & foes, a new Transformation to discover, puzzles to solve, hazards to overcome, and a Boss to conquer. Revisiting past chapters with newly acquired abilities will unlock the next set of paths, powers & plot-lines" FUN - 2.
REPLAY: I don't know how the whole game will play off, but I have a good feeling the replay value will be great for this game. I can only play 3 levels with the EAD and I love them enough to keep playing them. The Part of a WayForward Quote, "Revisiting past chapters with newly acquired abilities will unlock the next set of paths, powers & plot-lines" shows a bit of replay within the game itself, which I like. REPLAY - 1.5.
STORY: From what I saw, Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero continues from where Shantae and the Pirate's Curse ends off at. From certain scenes, I noticed that we might actually see Shantae's Mother finally, which I really hope for. Besides those 2 things, the story is not known much. I will leave this subject to the quote WayForward left us, "In our story, Shantae is roused from a deep sleep, suddenly alert. She plunges into the moonlit forest in search of answers. In nearby Scuttle Town she discovers a mysterious trapdoor, and beyond that, a luminous subterranean cavern. A familiar voice calls out, drawing Shantae to a beautiful fountain. Touching its waters she is immediately spirited away to the fable Genie Realm. At her feet a magical seal swells as some powerful evil seeks escape. The chamber with a deep, bellowing roar and everything goes white. Shantae sits upright, back in her bed. Was it just a dream? Or a vision of things to come?" STORY - 1.5.
DIFFERENCE/ORIGINAL: Well... Not much is new for Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero. Plays a lot like Shantae: Risky's Revenge. There are some new things such as the Crab Transformation. However, Thanks to Backers (Including Myself), WayForward was funded enough to make more chapters, characters, costumes, and even more new transformations. Of course, the major difference is that this Shantae game was the only one on Kickstarter. DIFFERENCE/ORIGINAL - 1.5.
DIFFICULTY: Just like the other Shantae games, they are very well balanced in the ways of difficulty. Not too hard, not too easy. Most of the time, if you mess up, it's your fault, not the games. DIFFICULTY - 2.
TOTAL - 8.5.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair for PS Vita
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a PS Vita game made by the company, Spike Chunsoft. Sequel to Danganronpa: Happy Trigger Havoc, this game was Released on Sept. 2, 2014, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a Visual Novel/Court Room/Investigating/Social game. Danganronpa, or more correctly, Dangan Ronpa translates to English as "Winning an argument with a Bullet."
FUN: This game may have a lot of reading to it, but it's very addicting. If you like Phoenix Wright games as well as Visual Novels, you will love this. It also has a bit of a Persona feel to it due to the social aspect part. FUN - 2.
REPLAY: This game is kind of the same way as Phoenix Wright with a slight twist. The Main Story is mostly story based, however, it's the only way to get Monokuma Coins. As well as the Side-Game "Island Mode" (This game's School Mode) the Mode that you Unlock after you beat the main story (as well as Magical Miracle Girl Monomi), everything has New Game + . With that feature, you can complete and level everything you couldn't complete during your first playthrough. This New Game + feature is perfect for any completist. Only downside... not much of the story changes. REPLAY - 1.5.
STORY: I can't go in much details do to plently of Spoilers if I did. But the basics is that You play as Hajime Hinata, a High School Student who entered Hope's Peak Academy and later found himself on a school trip on an island. Their Teacher, a rabbit by the name Usami, told them to have fun and collect Hope Fragments by being "love-love" to each other. Everything was going great, until a strange black and white bear named, Monokuma, arrived & forced the 16 Students to play the Killing Game. With one basic rule, Murder someone and not be caught. The reward, to Graduate and get off the Island. STORY - 2.
ORIGINAL/DIFFERENCES: This game is the Sequel to Danganronpa: Happy Trigger Havoc, so there are a lot of things in gameplay that's the same. However, there are plenty of things that are Different as well. 1st things 1st, the Report Cards. You need to collect Hope Fragments and you can easily see how much more you need to befriend the person before you complete their Report Card (unlike the 1st game where you had to keep checking for the Gold Star to appear to let you know). On top of that, the Main Protag's movements. They are side to side instead of 1st person view. They is two new Side-Games added, Magical Miracle Girl Monomi & a Visual Novel titled IF (as well as Island Mode which is School Mode from the 1st game). They also added/changed a few of the mini-games within the Class Trials. Another change is the Monokuma Vending Machine that allows you to pick your gifts instead of just relying on the MonoMono Yachine, a Random Gift Machine (There is still one in the game. It's the only way to get all the gifts). During each Main Story Chapters, their are Monokuma Figures that you can find & collect for Monokuma Coins and Trophies. The last new thing is Pets, which when fully grown gives you Gifts and Monocoins aka Monokuma Coins (which makes it the only other way to get those coins besides the main story). ORIGINAL/DIFFERENCES - 2.
DIFFICULTY: This game has 3 different Difficulty Settings; Gentle, Normal, & Hard. In Gentle, Some parts of the Class Trials (the Court Room part), like White Noises & Ammo Reload (Truth Bullets and Silencer to name a few), is taken away. It makes it perfect for someone who just want to experience the story. You can still get Game Overs if you lose all you health, making Gentle very Balanced to Newbies. Normal setting is also balanced for people who either played the game already and want a little challenge or people who want more gameplay than basic story. DIFFICULTY - 2.
TOTAL - 9.5.
There you have it! Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair! I highly Recommend playing Danganronpa: Happy Trigger Havoc before playing this game due to parts of this game is from the 1st. It would be very confusing as well as Spoilers a plenty. Be sure to keep checking in for more reviews! Until next time!
